What is sampling?
When analyzing results in your Analytics Overview there are multiple sampling options.
Sampling defines how is your data displayed in charts. As you can see in the picture below, there are multiple sampling options.
Sampling basically defines time intervals displayed in your charts. If you choose 1-month sampling you will see data for each month and the data will be displayed in monthly intervals. Each point within the chart represents a different month.
If you choose 1-day sampling your will be able to see data for each day and the data will be displayed in daily intervals. Each point within the chart will represent a different day.
With the analytics update, you will now be able to decide which kind of chart you want to see – smoothed or original (raw). There will be this option for each sampling period. For example, if you’ll want to see 1-month sampling you will be able to choose between 1-month sampling or 1-month sampling smoothed. "Smoothed sampling" means that it automatically eliminates extremes from your chart.
